Darren:
co-owns and operates a vermont based corporation. It's sun up til sundown during the
summer, but the winter means lots of time off. Last Feb we had the whole month to travel.
Hobbies include: Camping, fishing,
remote control rc car racing, spending time with our good friends from the fellowship, canoeing, spending time with our grandson
Tyler Douglas. He also is a past capt of the fire department. He is now a pump operator and driver. A member of the fire dept
since 1984!!
Diana:
I am the head crossing guard for our local grammer school now for the past 15 yrs. I am also
a sub. teacher (per diem for a private pre-school) I was Tylers primary care giver for 18 months. Luckily Amy opened
an inhome daycare center and is now home with Tyler every day.
Hobbies include:
camping, my ferret Mocha, psp &
animation shop graphics design, web page design, help run a few psp and ferret groups online, run a ferret charity, watching
my grandson Tyler Douglas. I also enjoy spending time with our good friends from our fellowship group. Spending time with
Tyler during our weekly play group session that a friend runs for Tyler's age group each week.
Amy:
Our oldest daughter married Carl. She now has an in-home daycare center. Carl works at the hospital
as a cook. They gave us a miracle grandson last August. He is such a joy. We just helped Amy & Carl buy their first home.
They didn't have the down payment, closing costs and repair money needed for the 100 yr old duplex that was a repo. LOL. talk
about work!! Phew. They really don't have any hobbies. Their time off from work is spending it with Tyler and working on their
home. Amy does enjoy working with plants and gardening.
Jennileigh Leigh.. aka Jenn:
Jenny graduated from high school. She had enough credits to graduate as
a junior, but decided to take all fun classes for her senior year. She was 1 of 2 girls that took auto at the cdc. Its a 2
yr program. She played for the marching band at the high school and also symphonic band. She had been a varsity cheerleader
since she was a freshman. She was the captain of the varsity squad. They came in second in the state for the state cheerleading
competition in February. She was a baton student since she was in 4th grade. When she got older they asked her to be a student
teacher. She also works between full time at Darren's corporation.
Hobbies Include: cheerleading, remote control
rc car racing, spending time with the fellowship group friends, especially her buddy Joe!! hiking, finding off the beaten
path swimming holes. She moved in with her sister Amy when we returned home from vacation. Jenny has had a few long term boyfriends.
She is now dating John.
Tyler Douglas:
He is a little miracle baby. Tyler is two going on 3 years old on August
18th, 2005. He is now a thriving toddler. I bring him to play group every Wednesday for a few hours. Gives us some one on
one time with each other. I sure have missed spending every day with him, but it was time for his mom to be a mommy to him.
It's so special when the phone rings and I pick up. I then hear "luv u gumma" That means love you grandma. He calls me gumma
and Darren, Gumpa.
